Kimberley L. Berlin, LCSW, CSAC, MAC, SAP
Ms. Berlin is a a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Master Addictions Counselor (MAC) and certified as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) by the Department of Transportation (DOT). She is a specialist in addiction medicine, certified by the Department of Hearing Appeals and the Department of Homeland Security as a evaluator and clinician. She has testified in numerous federal security clearance hearings as a subject matter expert.
Ms. Berlin is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), specializing in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) particularly as it relates to substance disorders. In addition, she is able to address concerns of sexual misconduct or illicit on-line activity.
With over 20 years experience in the diagnosis and treatment of alcohol, substance abuse, and trauma disorders, she has conducted over 400 Federal Security Clearance Evaluations. Kimberley brings her substance abuse and psychotherapy expertise to each client she serves.
A former White House Appointee (Schedule C) she spent six years in the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Secretary, and four years at the National Defense University, Department of Defense. Her familiarity with government processes, regulations and guidelines ensures a client will receive individual and specialized attention.
